Senior Creative with Global Experience

Julian has been Art Directing and story telling from London to Moscow, Tokyo and Vietnam as in integrated creative for some of the world’s biggest brands and agency networks.

A respected, awarded and dedicated creative leader with a strong belief in relationships that build business for the clients and the agency. A passion for his cra he genuinely cares about the work and the teams and never shies away from getting his hands dirty. From FMCG, automotive, charities, online shopper, nance, beverages and restricted products there isn’t an area that he hasn’t been involved with.

Julians’ passion and drive to get the job done has earned him immense trust from his teams and clients alike, he is an approachable open creative manager and designer.

Under the guise of Juleski Creative (Derived from his Russian nick name) Julian has been busy consulting and producing for a luxury regional brand, Surrey Magazine which is growing massively under his stewardship as it moves into a more digital world. Along with creative and branding projects for International and local clients such as Waberers Haulage, DDB Moscow, Geometry Global Japan, Dane Elliot construction, Siamax Group and The Social Kinetic. While consulting and creating for chattalearning.com a language intervention program for children from Early Years upwards talking to schools and parents producing print collateral and advising on their UX and route to market.

Taking time out to judge for Ad Stars and Asia Spikes award shows for Asia Paci c region and Latin America. 

 

A bit of a fanboy of Star Wars also he is.

Consulting creative Director for Surrey Magazine 

Nov 2016 to present

Having full creative control and working closely with the publisher and editor. Designing and producing the issues and creating social media content li ing a free luxury regional magazine to a level where now the team are looking at subscriptions and selling in stores around Surrey.

Founder of Juleski Creative

Aug 2016 to present

Juleski Creative LTD was set up in 2016 working for DDB Moscow on TELE2 and SBERBANK. Geometry Global Tokyo for BAT’s KOOL cigarette brand, The SocialKinetic an engagement rm working on projects for the UK’s National Health Service and Bedfordshire council, BlueMarlin on PMI and Sci-mx Nutrition, re-branding and web-design projects for Dane Elliot construction and Siamax Events Group.

Area Creative Director Geometry Global South East Asia

Jul 2014 - Mar 2016

Managing end markets Cambodia, Myanmar, Philippines, Singapore exports and of course Vietnam for BAT’s expanding product por olio. Kent AHEAD got over 1 Million followers on social media with video content and events while we also re-launched a local jewel, Craven A and were instrumental in 555’s rise to No1 premium brand in Vietnam. Working closely with our global and regional o ices across experiential digital and traditional media. We also won tactical projects for Gillette and P&G.

Judging the prestigious Asia Spikes 2015 in Singapore was also a major highlight for me. 

 

Creative Lead Ogilvy Action Japan

Jan 2013 – Jun 2014

Initially working solely on Kent and KOOL Brands for BAT across Japans many touch points but also projects for Coke and Suntory beverages. Working closely with the local teams, guiding while trying to find a bridge between what is asked for from the Global team and what works in Japan. Especially most important was the work done on the Kent global brand campaign, which ended with Japan taking the creative lead.

 

Creative Director G2 Moscow

Dec 2011 – Jan 2013

Leading a dedicated team across BAT's Kent and Lucky Strike brands rolling out countrywide across Russia and many of its regions. Creative/big idea development to any of the 380 touch points that Russia has.

 

Senior Art Director Publicis Moscow

Jan 2010 – Nov 2011

Major success with a Coca Cola film for Coke @ Home. The spot was set as a global benchmark by Coke Atlanta. My then Writer and i also won a pan European pitch project for Renault that usually Russia isn't even invited to join.I won several awards for a Coke project and some small local awards for Ozon.ru TV including best comedy and low budget.

 

Head of Art Ogilvy Moscow

Mar 2004 – Dec 2009

There I worked as a senior art director on BAT brands such as PallMall and Viceroy re-launching PallMall before moving to work on brands such as Ford and Kraft Foods as Head of Art. Also winning several awards for Vodka Museum and Valenki boots

Mainly working on a clothing brand called Matalan and some British Airways.

May 1997 – Feb 2002

5 years and much work and many memories. Promotional work for Mars confectionary, Southern Comfort and Bells Whiskey. While DM campaigns Alfa Romeo and Fiat also filled my time along with WHSmiths and Wicks DIY home early digital. Not forgetting the mighty Gillette and Philips clients.

Honda, New Castle Brown ale, Whyte & Mackay, Guardian Direct, Courts Home Furnishings, Panasonic and of course Hamlet Cigars and B&H to name but a few campaigns that i had the privilege to work on at CDP with some of the most talented people around at the time.
